Bio

I have worked in ceramics for more than 20 years. I worked as an artist full time from 2012-2020. For 6 years I worked in ceramics doing saggar firings at my studio in Ariel WA and then in Los Lunas New Mexico. I taught ceramics for 1 year at Santa Fe Clay in New Mexico. My ceramic work was focused on the “naked clay” movement; clay without glaze. My ceramic work explored many ideas, including vulnerability, community, and definitions of self.

In 2019 I started working in fused glass. My glass work has continued the exploration of these themes.
